Bosh New Franchise Scoring Leader

Chris Bosh has been a Toronto Raptor since being selected 4th overall in the 2003 Draft. In his 7th NBA season, and 474th game Sunday night, Bosh became the Raptors' new franchise scoring leader by drilling a jumper with 1:39 left in the 3rd quarter over San Antonio Spur Richard Jefferson. Bosh needed 15 points tonight to eclipse the old franchise mark of 9,420 points that Vince Carter held. The All-Star from Georgia Tech ended the contest with 22 points and 15 rebounds as well as grabbing a massive 91-86 win over the Spurs in front of the Air Canada Centre fans.

Bosh now sits at 9,428 points as he was honored by the team after the 3rd quarter with a standing ovation and a video dedicated for the occasion. For the 2nd time in his illustrious career, Tim Duncan came off the bench as Theo Ratliff started in his place. Duncan still mustered 21 points and 12 rebounds in defeat. Tony Parker finished with 23 points and 6 assists. Coach Gregg Popovich's squad saw little scoring production as Richard Jefferson was the only other Spur who tallied double figures with 12 points. San Antonio is now 20-12 on the '09-'10 season as they head back home to host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
